I have a great sounding Keller shell kit up on ebay. I know all of you have plenty of drums to play, but if you know someone or wanted one for a son or daughter or whoever, it's got the cool and now rare Adonis single point lugs on it. I know the description is a little over the top, but I know from experience it's really hard to get people's attention with no-name kits. I would obviously pull the auction and cut a deal with any of you.

Very sweet looking little kit, David.

How do the bass lugs work? I assume there's a keyed rod exposed at the "claw" attached to the hoop, but I can't quite see it. Clever, clean, and clearly costly way to make make that connection, requiring another set of measurements and machining around the hoops.

Looks like a great kit to play. Good luck! If I can think of anyone, I'll tell 'em. :)

Yeah, here's kind of a better pic of how the BD claws look. http://www.drumforum.org/index.php?/topic/28861-fs-20-chrome-adonis-bass-drum-hoop-claws/

They are essentially a mounted circle on the hoop that the tension rod goes through. But I'm such an idiot I don't remember if they're glued on or screwed on?

They ain't glued on - there are elements of the claws, for lack of a better term, on the insides of the hoop.

Man freaking Ebay. You can't enlarge anymore, only that stupid magnification?

Click and it enlarges. On my end, at least.

What value that magnifier has is a mystery to me. But lest you should think ebay is letting grass grow under its feet...
